Chandler inched closer Tuesday to replacing a longtime eyesore with its first upscale hotel in one of the city’s most high profile areas along the Price Road corridor.
Representatives of developer Concord Hospitality Enterprises and Chandler city officials broke ground on the $20 million Cambria hotel project, which is slated to open in early 2018.
“The expectation is that January of ’17 you’ll see us going vertical, and that’s usually a nice, hard date that we’re only about 12 months away,” Kevin McAteer, senior vice president of marketing and hospitality for Concord Hospitality.
