Hundreds of Phoenix high school students walked out of class Wednesday to protest the election of Republican President-elect Donald Trump, joining thousands of students in California, Colorado, Washington and Iowa who did the same.
Students from multiple high schools marched through downtown Phoenix and met at the Arizona Capitol around 2 p.m., holding signs and Mexican flags and chanting “Who’s Donald Trump? Not our president!” and “Whose city? Our city!”
They chose the state Capitol because it’s a place where they said their voices could be heard.
