Quinn Johnson: Rose Law Group Hero

Poston Butte High School history has been made by one young woman who refused to let adversity bring her down.

Quin Johnson, an 18-year-old senior, was the first athlete in the school’s history to qualify for the state cross country meet at Cave Creek Golf Course last weekend.

Ranked 20th in the state before she finished 18th at sectionals to qualify, Johnson went on to tackle what her coach called a challenging course with a tough back end, hardly ideal for even the most seasoned athlete. Still, she never quit and pushed on to finish 78th out of 182 with a time of 22:30.
