Club West Golf Course purchase would need $4 million

A plan for Club West homeowners to buy their beleaguered golf course would require them to kick in $4 million without the immediate need of finding a source of cheap water.

The plan, unveiled last week to about 120 of the community’s 2,559 homeowners, calls for major upgrades of the course’s irrigation system and some landscaping changes to reduce water consumption and “return the nature and professionalism of this venue to what it used to be,” Save Club West Association leader Jim Lindstrom said.
