Large industrial project in Buckeye

Merit Partners, Inc. is moving ahead with plans to create a 722KSF build-to-suit industrial project on a 101-acre rail-served site in Buckeye. A second phase, with approximately 800KSF of area in two buildings, is under consideration for future development.

The city’s Planning and Zoning Commission approved the site plan at its meeting earlier this month. Planning staff had recommended approximately 40 stipulations, most of which dealt with landscaping, water use and securing appropriate permissions from other necessary agencies and departments.

The site is currently vacant farmland at the NEC of Turner Road and Nelson Drive. It will be accessed off Turner Road, which connects to Baseline Road to the north and Maricopa County 85 to the south. The Union Pacific rail line marks the site’s northern border.
