New housing development coming to south Peoria

A new single-family housing development called Townley Park is coming to the southwest corner of 89th and Olive avenues.

The Peoria City Council approved a request to rezone a 10.1 acre site from General Agricultural to Planned Area Development to allow for the residential gated infill development.

Developer Garrett-Walker Homes has plans for Townley Park to include 40 lots, with open space amenities, and an overall density of 3.96 units per acre. The development proposes a minimum lot size of 5,000 square-feet. However, lots are projected to range between 5,115 and 8,712 square-feet.
