Donald Trump prepared to fill Cabinet slots Monday while expanding his search for a secretary of State and lobbing barbs at China.
Preparing for a new round of job interviews for secretary of State and other posts, Trump formally confirmed weeks-long plans to nominate former Republican rival Ben Carson to be secretary of Housing and Urban Development.
“We have talked at length about my urban renewal agenda and our message of economic revival, very much including our inner cities,” Trump said in making the formal announcement about the retired neurosurgeon. “Ben shares my optimism about the future of our country and is part of ensuring that this is a Presidency representing all Americans.”
