Arizona Republicans and Democrats gathered Saturday to elect party leaders
Arizona Democrats re-elected their state chairwoman, Alexis Tameron, at the party’s annual statewide meeting on Saturday amid a lawsuit from the party’s former executive director that alleges “self-dealing.”
Democratic officials denied the allegations in the lawsuit, which also centered on how the ex-staffer’s bonus was handled, and whether the party owed her more money since her termination.
Party officials fielded questions from some Democrats troubled by potential financial and legal fallout.
