The libertarian Goldwater Institute has filed a legal argument joining the Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry and other business groups’ efforts to kill a $12 per hour minimum wage and paid sick leave law approved by voters in November.
Arizona voters approved Proposition 206 with 58 percent of the votes. It raised the state minimum wage from $8.05 to $10 per hour this year and will hit $12 in 2020.
Between 700,000 and 800,000 workers could get raises from the measure depending on the analysis.
