Goodman takes first political role as Pinal supervisor

Mike Goodman has held many titles over the years: farmer, independent insurance broker, small-business owner and, most important to him, a family man.

He had no experience as an elected official before he took his seat on the Pinal County Board of Supervisors a few weeks ago, but that didn’t stop him from winning a crowded Republican primary to secure his seat, with no Democratic challenger to challenge him in the general election.

Goodman’s San Tan Valley home was packed that Aug. 30 night with his family, who insisted on being present as the results rolled in.
