Arizona Secretary of State’s Office seeks peace with county recorders

Arizona’s elections officials had a real beef with Secretary of State Michele Reagan’s office recently. Specifically, with Elections Director Eric Spencer, whom they called rude, disrespectful and “a most ineffective and disrespectful liaison from your office.”

And that was just for starters.

A letter expressing those concerns, signed by all 15 county recorders and delivered last month, sent Reagan to her speed dial, setting up a meeting with the four county recorders who represent the group.
