Several weeks ago, the McDowell Corridor, which spans eight square miles in south Scottsdale, released a new brand for the area, as a means to establish an identity for the community and help to revitalize the once-bustling portion of the Northeast Valley.
Now, two other parts of the Phoenix metro are rebranding.
During his recent state of the city address, Chandler Mayor Jay Tibshraeny announced that 4 square miles in north Chandler will henceforth be known as “Uptown Chandler,” an initiative by stakeholders and city staff to promote business and lifestyle opportunities in the corridor highlighting the area as being “home to eclectic neighborhoods, high-performing schools, active lifestyles and a vibrant shopping and dining scene,” according to a release.
