A Florida-based developer has applied for zoning changes in Casa Grande to make way for a theme park comparable to Disney World. The recreation and amusement park elements would be part of a larger, 1,500-acre project where Interstate 10 meets with Interstate 8.
According to documents submitted to the City of Casa Grande, phase one of Dreamport Villages will include “an extreme sports park, the wild animal and rides park, theme based water park, hotels, entertainment and meeting facility, welcome center, RV park, restaurants, retail shops and offices along with other coordinated amenities around a lake and canal system.”
