Denver-based Galvanize Inc., the learning community for technology, opened its educational and co-working campus Feb. 20 to host the opening day of Phoenix Startup Week.
The third largest Galvanize campus in the country has already attracted 220 members from 48 companies, many who are relocating from other parts of the Valley. The Phoenix campus is a 55,000-square-foot, two-story building with a basement is in a renovated produce warehouse at 515 E. Grant St.
“Small companies are bringing their whole teams here,” said Diana Vowels, the general manager of Phoenix Galvanize. “Larger companies with other offices in the Valley are moving here to have a presence here and take advantage of our innovative, collaborative environment.”
The three largest companies moving in are Coplex, the startup studio and accelerator from Tempe; ClearVoice, content marketing workflow and discovery tool provider from Phoenix; and Picmonic, the visual study tool for medical students from Tempe.
