Phoenix lags behind in construction job competition

The Phoenix metro area added 2,100 construction jobs between February 2016 and February 2017, according to new employment numbers from the Associated General Contractors.

That is a pedestrian 2 percent growth, according to AGC.

The Phoenix market has 104,400 construction workers as of this February. The year-over-year growth rate ranks a not so swift 198th among the largest 358 metro areas analyzed by AGC.
