Democratic lawyer and community activist Deedra Abboud of Phoenix announced Monday that she would run for U.S. Senate, in another potential challenge to Republican incumbent Jeff Flake.
Abboud officially put herself into the 2018 race at a gathering in downtown Phoenix.
“Arizona, I am ready to deliver for you,” she told a small crowd. “Arizona I am ready to become your next U.S. senator.”
