Biggs wants special counsel bounced from investigation for coziness with Comey

On Friday, Freedom Caucus member Congressman Andy Biggs called for Special Counsel Robert Mueller to recuse himself from the Department of Justice investigation. Biggs joins fellow Freedom caucus member Rep. Louie Gohmert, who said earlier this month that Mueller’s “cozy relationship” with former FBI director James Comey should force his recusal. “Special Counsel Robert Mueller should recuse himself because the integrity of his appointment is in question due to former FBI Director James Comey’s manipulative leaks and the relationship between Mr. Comey and Mr. Mueller. His ability to be impartial is doubtful because he has surrounded himself with highly partisan lawyers who make a special practice to line the coffers of Democrats,” said Biggs in a statement released Friday.
