Schultz Pass housing parcel dropped by Flagstaff council

A three-acre parcel with grand views of the Peaks at the intersection of Schultz Pass and Fort Valley roads will be removed from a request for proposals to create affordable housing, due to a last minute tie-breaking change of position from Mayor Coral Evans.

Evans joined councilmen Scott Overton, Charlie Odegaard and Jim McCarthy in opposing the inclusion of the property, known as Schultz Pass Meadows, in the request at the council’s meeting Friday afternoon, the third meeting the council has held to discuss the affordable housing parcels.
