The city of Phoenix is paying $210,000 for three conservation easements to keep three Roosevelt Row buildings in place and aid developers redeveloping them.
The three buildings include a commercial building (The Arizona Flower Shop) and two bungalows at Fifth and Roosevelt streets in downtown Phoenix.
The city move calls for the buildings’ exteriors to be preserved for 30 years. In exchange, developers will use proceeds of the $210,000 for the adaptive reuse redevelopment of the properties.
