Asian cuisine heavy hitters to reopen ShinBay, launch Sizzle Korean BBQ in Old Town Scottsdale

The collaboration between Tacos Chiwas and Chris Bianco isn’t the only culinary mashup that has come to light in the Valley’s dining scene.

Two Asian cuisine heavy hitters are teaming up to open ShinBay and Sizzle Korean BBQ in Old Town Scottsdale, under the same roof.

The chefs behind one of the most anticipated projects this restaurant season are Shinji Kurita and Hyunwook Lee.

Last summer, Kurita closed James Beard Award-nominated ShinBay, his contemporary Japanese fine-dining restaurant at Scottsdale Seville. Without an appropriate space to offer his refined omakase, Kurita had started to explore options in other cities.
