Funeral services will be held Friday for Mesa businessman and philanthropist Wil Cardon, who ran unsuccessfully against U.S. Sen. Jeff Flake in the 2012 Republican primary for Arizona senator.
Mr. Cardon, who would have been 46 on Sept. 23, died Saturday, Aug. 26. His widow Nicole said he committed suicide after a life-long struggle with depression.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 1 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Arcadia Building, 4225 N. 56th St., Phoenix. Carpooling is encouraged due to limited parking, according to an announcement by the church.
