Web host giant GoDaddy was expected to keep a customer-service center in Gilbert pending a town council vote to authorize a retention payment of over $800,000.
The vote was listed on Thursday’s agenda. The council was scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m.
The development agreement was to last 10 years, with the Scottsdale-based company known for its quirky TV commercials receiving $86,000 each year, according to KJZZ.
The money was coming from an economic development reserve fund.
