Rose Law Group Heroes of the Week: Arizona casinos

A chain of Arizona casinos said Wednesday that it planned to give away unclaimed jackpots to various nonprofit organizations.

“It is our privilege to provide these funds to such incredible nonprofit organizations that benefit the lives of Arizonans,” Kenneth Manuel, CEO of Gila River Gaming Enterprises, said in a statement.

Nonprofits will have to apply to receive a share of the funds. An exact dollar amount was not given, as the company was in its final fiscal quarter and a total was not yet available.

All Arizona-based nonprofits with a 501(c)3 status were eligible to apply, including those within the Gila River Indian Community.
