Residents who want to jump into Scottsdale politics can vie for three open City Council seats in 2018.
The council, on Sept. 12, is expected to call the election. Potential candidates can pick up paperwork from the City Clerk beginning Oct. 2.
Council members Linda Milhaven, David Smith and Kathy Littlefield are nearing the final year of their four-year terms. Only Milhaven confirmed to The Arizona Republic that she plans to formally announce a re-election campaign later this fall.
