Gilbert agrees to pay GoDaddy more than $800K to keep the tech giant

Gilbert agreed to pay GoDaddy more than $800,000 over the next decade to keep the town’s largest tech employer satisfied with its office space.

In return, GoDaddy signed a new 10-year lease and will invest $15 million on improvements to its call center in the El Dorado Tech Center Business Park.

GoDaddy renewed the lease with Everest Holdings, which owns the building near Guadalupe Road and Arizona Avenue, and will expand its footprint by 15,000 square-feet, occupying a total of 180,000 square feet.

The Gilbert call center boasts the largest concentration of GoDaddy employees in Arizona and is the town’s largest technology employer, Gilbert Mayor Jenn Daniels said.
