Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen several local leadership changes — some because of a strategic shift in a company’s direction; and others because of tragedy.
Last week, the Valley business community was shocked and saddened to hear that 46-year-old real estate developer Wil Cardon committed suicide. His family said Cardon had struggled with depression for years. His philanthropic, business and political contributions to the community were many, and he will be missed.
We also lost philanthropist and businessman Len Gaby, 71, who fought a courageous battle against cancer but succumbed Aug. 26. Len was the co-founder and CEO of the largest mattress retail chain in the Southwest, Sleep America.
