Local teen wants to rescue old Casa Grande Mall

Not much has happened at the Casa Grande Mall over the last few years. But Travis Sewell-Jones is on a mission to change that.

The 17-year-old Casa Grande resident wants to revamp the empty property into an entertainment center for local youths. He said he’s in the process of developing a business plan and hopes to have something running by early next year.

The teenager understands a significant amount of money will be needed to accomplish his goal, but he’s looking into grant opportunities and is prepared to invest some of his own money.
