City officials are looking for help to plan transportation improvements in the community.
With money burning a figurative hole in his pocket, City of Surprise Community Development Director Eric Fitzer explained his plan to find that help during the City Council Work Session conducted Aug. 15 at City Hall.
“As you’re aware, in the last year’s budget that we were allocated the sum of about $300,000 to do this study. So, I’ll be going through that scope and trying to get some feedback from the council so we’re hitting on all the right notes as we move forward,” said Mr. Fitzer.
The city published a request for proposals Aug. 24, which explains the specifications of the City of Surprise Transit Feasibility Study and Implementation Plan. The document lays out a scope of work and steps for qualified contractors to respond and compete for the lucrative contract, which will be awarded in the fall.
