City says Casa Grande man’s addition must come down

An illegally built addition must be torn down, city officials said Tuesday.

The Board of Adjustment voted 5-1 to order the addition removed. No time frame for when the addition must come down was provided.

Victor D’Souza’s addition to his home on Ninth Street is encroaching into the city’s right of way and doesn’t meet the required setbacks from the property line, said Casa Grande Planner Laura Blakeman.
