East Mesa adding hotel, apartments for growing population

With Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and growing technology and health-care industries, East Mesa has an ever-increasing need for accommodations to support its growing business and residential population, and developers are responding.

The city of Mesa rolled out the figurative red carpet on Oct. 17 to mark the official groundbreaking for a new Residence Inn by Marriot.
