Roof Coatings Manufacturers Association releases white paper

The free paper shows how to cut peak electrical demand with reflective roof coatings.

The Roof Coatings Manufacturers Association (RCMA) has recently published a white paper addressing the role and impact of reflective roof coatings in mitigating peak energy demand.

Developed in collaboration with Jim Hoff of TEGNOS Research Inc., the Cutting Peak Electrical Demand with Reflective Roof Coatings white paper provides a comparative overview of base use and peak demand of electricity and shares information on how to calculate peak demand savings. The role of cool roofing in promoting energy efficiency is also emphasized, particularly in respect to the unique performance properties of reflective roof coatings. The document can also be viewed as a resource as to the benefits reflective roof coatings provide to buildings, businesses, and the environment at large.
