What the September dip in jobs, rise in wages means for interest rates, inflation, stocks

The U.S. economy lost 33,000 jobs in September as Hurricanes Irma and Harvey took a toll on the economic activity in Florida and Texas.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics also revised job numbers for August and July down 38,000 positions.
