In recent years, the Town of Gilbert has been ranked among the country’s best places to raise a family (WalletHub, 2017), best places to live (Money Magazine, 2014), and best cities to be a homeowner (SmartAsset, 2017). And that’s just the short list. The area has also become a mecca for restaurants, with Joyride Taco House, Postino, Barrio Queen and Snooze all opening Gilbert locations. From aviation and defense to technology and bioscience, the PHX East Valley‘s dynamic economy is booming, with Banner Health, Dignity Health, Go Daddy and Walmart employing thousands, and Intel planning to invest $7 billion in a Chandler facility, creating an additional 3,000 jobs.
“Gilbert’s economy is thriving,” said Gilbert Mayor Jenn Daniels, “With more families and individuals choosing to live and work in Gilbert, it’s critical to have the right mix of housing.”
