McCain will return to Arizona Sunday and will miss a final vote on the GOP tax proposal later this week, according to a report by CBS News.

His office announced Wednesday the Republican senator was receiving treatment at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C., for side effects related to brain cancer treatment.

CBS News reported McCain, 81, will be in Arizona to spend the holidays with his family and that it’s unclear when he plans to return to Washington.

His daughter, Meghan McCain tweeted Sunday afternoon that her father will be in Arizona for Christmas.
