Phoenix approves development deal near airport

The Phoenix City Council has approved a real estate development deal with nonprofit Chicanos Por La Causa to develop 35 acres of land near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

The land is at 16th Street and Buckeye Road south of the airport. The land is owned by the city and is also home to the Sacred Heart Church.
