2018 to be a year of planning for Florence

Florence has big plans for the new year.

First there will be a new regional transportation plan update. Also, Town Manager Brent Billingsley said he is excited for a new “Safe Routes to School” plan that will involve a partnership between Florence Unified School District, the police department and the fire department to improve safety for students.

“We are going to hopefully start our parks, trails and open space master plan in the next year,” Billingsley continued. “If we’re lucky, I’d like to do a water sustainability plan as well.
