The manager of Glendale’s Convention & Visitors Bureau resigned this week after 17 years claiming the city has mismanaged money and did not help her as she was harassed for two years by a local business owner.
In her resignation letter to the city of Glendale, Lorraine Zomok said she “can no longer be a part of the city of Glendale which spends funds unwisely and lacks financial transparency.”
She said in March 2018, the city planned to move the CVB offices and the city’s visitor center to the third floor of Glendale Media Center building, which is closed to public access for security reasons. Zomok said this move would have at least $70,000 in tenant improvement costs, more than tripling its monthly rent price and have additional unknown costs for moving and office furniture.
