Rogers will join local farmer Tiffany Shedd and state Sen. Steve Smith of Maricopa in seeking the Republican nomination

U.S. Rep. Tom O’Halleran will officially have another challenger in his fight to keep Arizona’s 1st Congressional District blue.

Republican Wendy Rogers announced her campaign for U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday, with a Twitter video that outlined her priorities for office.

“We must repeal Obamacare for the sake of our nation’s health and resolve illegal immigration, which threatens national security. We must build the wall and end sanctuary cities once and for all,” Rogers said in the video.

“Respect for the rule of law has eroded. Our nation’s very identity and history are under attack, with liberals trying to erase Columbus, Washington, and Jefferson.
