Bill to limit public funding for sports stadiums appears to be dead

The Arizona Coyotes have threatened to move from Glendale for nearly 10 years, which Could leave the city with an empty arena and millions of future debt payments. But a proposed bill would have limited the team from a possible move elsewhere in the state.

Sen. Warren Peterson (R- Dist. 12, Gilbert) presented a bill that would limit public funding and subsidies for professional sports stadiums, ballparks and arenas.
