Chapter-led EO Patrons Program marks 30th Anniversary

PHOENIX (Feb. 26, 2018) – The Arizona chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), the world’s leading peer-to-peer network of successful business leaders has named Doug Ducey, Governor for the state of Arizona, as its Chapter Patron. As EO celebrates 30 years of significance this year, chapters have been encouraged to invite entrepreneurial superheroes and leading public figures as patrons to share their knowledge and insights with the EO community.

Governor Ducey is a former member of the EO Arizona chapter. He served on the EO AZ local board for several years and was the chapter president in 2002. Ducey joined EO in the early years of his entrepreneurial journey as one of the founders of Cold Stone Creamery. He joined Cold Stone when it was one store, and as CEO, led it to significant national and international growth. Ducey led Cold Stone through a successful merger in 2007.

Prior to being elected Governor in 2014, Ducey served as State Treasurer. As Governor, Ducey has been a staunch advocate of entrepreneurship in Arizona.

“We are proud to welcome Governor Ducey as our Chapter Patron,” said Veronique James, 2017/2018 EO Arizona Chapter President. “Not only are we honored to have the opportunity to learn from such a well-respected Arizona entrepreneur, we are inspired by Governor Ducey’s support of entrepreneurship and his passion for bringing innovation and cutting-edge technology to our state. It’s an exciting time to be an Arizona entrepreneur.”

Entrepreneurs’ Organization was launched in 1987 and in the 30 years since, it has grown to more than 12,000 members in 171 chapters and 53 countries. Chapters the world over have joined in the 30th anniversary celebrations this year to commemorate EO’s commitment to transforming the lives of the entrepreneurs who transform the world.
