Could a former Arizona Capitol staffer replace Trump’s close advisor, Hope Hicks?

By Phil Riske | Senior Reporter/Writer

Among names reported by national media to replace Hope Hicks in the West Wing is Stephanie Grisham, former Arizona House spokeswoman, who left that job to become a mouthpiece for First Lady Melania Trump.

If Grisham were named to replace Hicks, she would bring some baggage to the Oval Office.

Hicks, White House communications director, said Wednesday she is resigning, marking the departure of a presidential confidante and longtime lieutenant from the West Wing.

Grisham, a staffer on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, was supposed to resume her full-time job as a spokeswoman at the Arizona House of Representatives less than a week after Trump won the election, Arizona Capitol Times reported last April

There’s no evidence she did. She still got paid.

Grisham is considered an “outsider” for the position.
