Glendale building code changes expected in near future

Glendale City Council heard an update on the adoption of new construction codes, the 2018 international building codes and amendments.

The city adopted the current construction codes and amendments in 2012 and staff had been recommending that council adopt updated codes that reflect safer practices and instill new technology. It also allows the city to maintain good standing with the property insurance rating industry.
