Glendale City Council agrees: No property tax increase

Glendale residents got a little good news during the Feb. 4 city council workshop when councilmembers made a unanimous decision to not raise property taxes in the near future.

The decision by council included a change to city policy where council would revisit the discussion every year, as opposed to current policy that states the city would increase the primary property tax levy by 2 percent each year, which is the maximum allowable under state law.
