Saint Holdings talks Coolidge economic development. (Disclosure: Rose Law Group represents Saint Holdings.) The Pinal County land holding corporation, Saint Holdings, has “big plans for Coolidge,” including the “Heritage Project,” a “residential hub” featuring “master-planned communities of varying sizes, educational areas, healthcare centers and even an…’agri-hood’… similar to Gilbert’s Agritopia.” And that’s “just one portion of a project that aims to bring an influx of businesses” to the area. Planet Fitness cuts ribbon on Maricopa location. “Planet Fitness is the second tenant to open at the Edison Pointe retail development this month,” the first being Goodwill. Golfers may ask Attorney General to probe Club West. “The controversy over Club West Golf Course’s deterioration accelerated last week on several fronts.” The latest pedal-to-the-metal developments include: Golfers’ missing money (which is where the AG thing comes in), delinquent water bills, late mortgage payments, and the possibility of a born again Biscuits restaurant. Pedestrian bridge between Harrah’s, UltraStar now complete. “On Wednesday, the Ak-Chin Indian Community Tribal Council, Harrah’s and UltraStar staff cut the ribbon on a walkway that connects the two entertainment hubs. Town of Florence enters agreement on new STEM school. “As part of the Innovation Pavilion business development park coming to Florence, the council approved a ‘memorandum of understanding,’” in the hopes of working with IP to “turn the old Florence Elementary School” into a “new cutting-edge” learning center for “science, technology, entrepreneurship and mastery [STEM].” Florence Reminder. http://bit.ly/2J3D52o

[VIDEO] Copa Center razed for overpass. “The Copa Center and Spoon’s diner were demolished Tuesday morning as [ADOT] started to clear land it acquired for an overpass across the railroad tracks. Arizona is not Pennsylvania, say Republican strategists. In the wake of last month’s “shocking Democratic upset in Pennsylvania’s 18th District,” the “GOP says it’s confident that the party will keep control of the seat last held by ex-GOP Rep. The gun ownership rate in Arizona. “ ‘Injury Prevention,’ a scholarly journal, has released what may be the closest look yet [at gun ownership across the U.S.].
