Mayor Jon Thompson announced Wednesday that he will be running for re-election this year during the State of the City address.
Held at the Coolidge-Florence Elks Lodge, Thompson’s address also gave an overview of the triumphs Coolidge has seen over the year as well as some of the struggles.
“This has been a good year for us,” he said.
Among the highlights included the improvements to Main Street and Central Avenue, the city’s upticks in revenue according to the fiscal year 2018-19 preliminary budget review, and the new email and phone system upgrades the city will likely see in the upcoming year.
