County to accept San Tan Valley incorporation petitions

Pinal County has accepted incorporation petitions for San Tan Valley despite opposition from a home developer that may derail the effort.

State statute says that “declarant communities” must give permission for an area to incorporate, which Shea homes denied to San Tan Valley. But the Pinal County Board of Supervisors decided it will still accept the petition signatures for the incorporation effort.
