Sedona P&Z denies, then approves Residence Inn

The Sedona Planning and Zoning Commission voted to deny a recommendation to Sedona City Council in regard to a proposed hotel.

But then things got interesting.

After more than three hours of discussion during the commission meeting Tuesday, April 17, which included comments from 22 members of the audience, the commissioners voted 4-2 — chairman Marty Losoff was absent — to deny recommendation to council to approve a zone change for the proposed Marriott Residence Inn.
