Costa Verde building 109 new homes in Maricopa. AZ Business Magazinehas news on Oasis at Santa Rosa Springs from Costa Verde Homes. Located near CG Hwy and Porter Road, the community “will offer a total of 109 homesites,” “four floorplans ranging from 1,586 to 2,507 square feet” with “prices starting from $179,990” and the “opportunity” for home buyers to “personalize floor plan designs to fit their needs…” http://bit.ly/2EZQzJq

Most states record YTD SF permits growth in February 2018. Between February 2017 to February 2018, 34 states saw growth in single-family permits issued while 21 states recorded growth multifamily permits. SASSI NO MORE – Scottsdale City Council approves zoning amendment for proposed assisted living community. Say so long to Sassi restaurant and say hello to a new residential health care facility. Scottsdale Independent reports that despite concerns (project height, windows, and traffic) plans are in the works to “demolish the restaurant” located at 10455 E. Pinnacle Peak Pkwy “after it closes later this year and to redevelop” the 5.9 acre site into a 150-unit assisted-living community. http://bit.ly/2vtqenr

Springstone buys land in Gilbert to build behavioral health facility. “Kentucky-based Springstone will develop its second Arizona behavioral health facility on 6.59 acres located… at the corner of Rome and Melrose streets.” (Springstone’s other facility is Copper Springs, in Avondale.) Casa Grande planners propose zoning code changes. At Monday’s “study session of the Casa Grande City Council, Planning and Development Director Paul Tice said his department was proposing changes to several business and industrial zones in the city.” However, Casa Grande Dispatch reports that those proposed changes were “met with confusion and skepticism” by councilmembers. http://bit.ly/2HLMUSz

Judge Moss gives Kingman possession of airport, industrial park. “The city filed a notice in December that it would use its power of eminent domain to take possession of Kingman Airport, the surrounding industrial park and other property leased by KAA.” On Tuesday, “Mohave County Superior Court Judge Steve Moss” ruled in the city’s favor, granting it “immediate possession.” The Daily Miner. http://bit.ly/2qKKfRL

Representative Leach’s GPLET central business district reform legislation signed into law. The bill was passed unanimously by the Legislature.
