Aldi watch: Grocery stores planned for metro Phoenix

The company has expansion goals of 2,500 stores nationwide by the end of 2022, according to the company’s website.

The nationwide expansion of the discount grocery store chain Aldi will land in Arizona.

Although Aldi hasn’t announced its Phoenix-metro locations, the company is working with cities and commercial developers to secure permitting for the new stores.

The company is expected to open regional offices and a distribution center in Goodyear in early 2020.
