The Arizona Department of Transportation continues to make widening the stretch of Interstate 10 between Casa Grande and Chandler a priority, the mayor says.
According to Casa Grande Mayor Craig McFarland, ADOT has launched a request for proposals to hire a program manager to study the widening of the interstate in that section.
The state’s procurement website lists an RFP for “major project consultant” and says the government consultant will “advocate for the Department with various state, local, federal and tribal bodies relating to improvements to the transportation system linking and supporting connectivity regionally, between Phoenix and Tucson, conducted or overseen by the Department.”
